Iran Arrests Son of Woman Sentenced to Stoning

In the latest news from Iran, some very strange occurences have come about according to this article. Iran still uses stoning as a method of punishment/execution and it is interesting to see something like this make headlines. The International Committee Against Stoning claimed that the lawyer and son of a woman sentenced to stoning have been arrested along with two German journalists who were interviewing them at the time. Iran's prosecutor general confirmed the arrests of two foreign nationals, but refuse to say where from. Authorities state that the two German's entered the country as tourists and did not prove themselves to be journalists. There are lots of hidden details the article does not reveal and may not be known. Human rights issues have been huge in Iran and this article seems to hint that Iran, despite being called out will continue to do as they have. The article does not speak great amounts to stoning, but this is part of the reason that the article has made news. Many people disagree with the use of stoning as a punishment, but at the same time many oppose the death penalty. If the journalists are released, it will be interesting to see if more headlines pop up later. If the journalists are not released and exspecially if they are stoned, I see this as the beginning of what could be a long human rights fight throughout the international community.
