No Respect for the Dead

Margaret Thatcher's death on April 8th of 2013 has been one of the most controversial reactions to the death of a political figure ever.  She was an inspiration to many women who believed the world was run by men, she saved Britain from almost certain economic destruction and was a key benefactor in bringing down the iron curtain of the soviets, but instead of tears, her death brought joy to many.  Many outspoken residents of the United Kingdom who did not agree with her policies decided to throw parties to celebrate her death and "The horror of her life and legacy" as Mr. McDonagh, an Irish born cab driver living in New York, said.  Across the pond, people have actually had celebrations and have been overwhelmed almost with happiness at Mrs. Thatcher's death.  This is very dangerous to our future, if they are allowed to defile her legacy in this way with no consequences, where will it stop?  The left has started a pattern of these obscene public displays of their ideologies all over the world.  It is this loss of decency to actually celebrate the death of a person that is corrupting the public sector and telling people that freedom of speech and protest has no limits and respect is a frugal thing left only to the people you agree with.  The article says how Mr. McDonagh had been planning this party of her death for five years ever since it was made public that her health was fading.  The only similar situation I can compare this too would be the death of Adolf Hitler, who committed genocide, practically started WWII and almost destroyed Europe.  Even then, most celebrations were for the end of the war.  If these people think that Margaret Thatcher was as bad or even worse than Adolf Hitler then society truly has lost its values.  Death is not a time for joy, it is a time for mourning.
