Violence between Christian, Muslim villages in central Nigeria kills at least 10 people

During this past weekend, violent attacks between the Christians and the Muslims in central Nigeria led to the death of at least ten individuals. The article states that the groups involved in these violent behaviors included: the Jukun people of Plateau state; individuals of the Muslim ethnicity, and the Tarok people who identify themselves as Christians. Reporters are receiving mixed information from both parties but, the author addresses in the article that the leader of the Jukun people states that the Tarok people set fire to homes in his village; killing six people. In defense, Jongle Lohbut, leader of the Tarok people argues that four people were killed by the Jukun group. The article closes by stating that violent outbreaks between these two groups stems from religious beliefs, politics, rights, and economic power.
