Understanding the US Policies challenges in the Middle East.

The US geopolitical structure in the middle east that has lasted four decades is now in shambles due to the increased complexity of the political structure of this region. On the one end, the region has become very destabilized — Syria, Iraq, Afghanistan ,and Yemen are completely devastated by war. On the other end, the civil wars are very ideologically and religiously oriented , ethnically divided, and economically devastating. The wars are divided ideologically and ethnically with SHIITE countries supporting their allies and the SUNNI countries unwilling to fully cooperate in thwarting ISIS, since they fear that it would empower the SHIITE countries, in particular IRAN, and the wars have been economically and socially devastating since they have resulted in a destruction of the infrastructures and the biggest migrant crisis of the century. In brief, there is a very immediate and vivid need of a new US strategy on the region; and especially, with the Russian presence in the region and the Iranian imperial tendency threatening the former US strategies on the region, the ISIS caliphate ideology and military expansion which completely annihilate any of the US strategies on the region, and the Asad regime in Syria resistance to relinquish power.
