Although we have neglected to still talk about the war on drugs and it is faint in the news broadcasts, nowadays it is still an ongoing issue. Drugs, particularly cocaine have been coming from Mexico into Australia, causing an increase in the use of Cocaine by Australians. The illicit drug market is going nowhere and I would argue it may in fact become stronger due to the simplicity of the internet and global communication in the global community, as a whole. Although the attached article is short it delves into how the criminal networks are also at large, which is large in part due to the growing use of technology. Drugs, like the internet, are not going away and I feel strongly in the fact that we need to talk about this issue in order to make changes for generations to come.

Swine flu update!!
by Bri Roozen
One must wonder where we will be in two weeks time if this epidemic continues to spread at such a rapid rate, WHO has called the outbreak a "public health emergency of international concern". It certainly concerns me. As Mexico toys with shutting down its public transportation systems, the World Bank is lending money to help fight the spread of the disease. Nonetheless, it is traveling far faster than anyone expected, largely due to globalization. There's a bad side to everything.
