Afghan Government approach on Taliban

In a statement released today the Afghan government said they have secretly been meeting with Taliban officials over the past few months. They have told the Taliban that they will only call a seize fire unless the leave Afghanistan. The Taliban refuse to leave what they call there central base of command. It just goes to show you that the Afghanistan government will not back the terrorist group, and will have no part of them operating out of their country. It will be interesting to see how the Taliban react to the demands of the government of Afghanistan. Even though the Taliban have refused to cooperate for sometime, this may be a pivotal sign to the terrorist group to leave since they dwindle in numbers!
