U.N. seeks $543 Million for Pakistan Refugees

Justin Moriarty

This recent article from MSNBC says that the U.N. is seeking $543 million for Pakistani refugees and I thought that it related to a recent class discussion on the amount of money appropriated for people around the world in distress. The article states the 'noose is tightening' around Taliban militants in the mountains and the encirclement military personnel are putting on them may be decreasing Taliban morale. This along with the support that the U.N. is displaying towards Pakistani refugees may put a temporary halt on the Taliban's reign of terror over this region.
