Yemen sentences al-Qaida militant to death

Yemen issued a death sentence to an al-Qaida member who confessed to multiple attacks.  I am sure that they had help and pressure from other nations to take a stand on terrorism.  By issuing a death sentence they showed to terrorist that Yemen will not be a safe haven for them to hide out.  After he heard the verdict he stood up and yelled that al-Qaida will get revenge on Yemen and their fate comes by their own hands.  I don't know if he was surprised by the verdict but I am surprised by it and hope the trend continues in doing what the US wont.  Instead we are housing captured terrorist and still fighting about how to try them in court.  Hopefully Yemen started a trend.  I think that Yemen issued a death sentence to show a stand on terrorism to try to gain more support from other nations to help fight terrorism.
