The winter Olympics are set to be in Beijing, China towards the end of 2022. The Chinese Olympic committee is warning athletes that they may face punishment if they start protesting or trying to speak out about China's restrictions on political expression. The Chinese government is trying to not to mix sports with politics and don't want people protesting about the way they handle their people. There have been people that have been put in prison for staging political protests or saying things on social media. Later on in the article Beijing cancelled ticket sales to the public because of a spike in corona virus cases. It will definitely be interesting to see how the Olympics will play out. With China's government warning athletes not to protest against their policies on human rights and with the pandemic still going on. I wonder if China is going to be hosting any more Olympics after this one.
