A US combat jet that was conducting routine exercises in the South China sea crashed trying to land on an aircraft carrier. Thankfully before the jet crashed into the USS Carl Vinson the pilot was able to eject. The pilot was retrieved by helicopter and seven sailors were hurt in the accident. The status of the aircraft and the details of the accident are still being investigated.
