Pakistan continues to develop nuclear program.

Patrick Larson
Last week I discussed the Pakistan government as the next possible “black hole” of the Middle East. This article further develops that idea. As the Pakistan government continues to increase behavior similar to that of Iraq five years ago, the United States continues to observe another potential threat arise. As Al Queda further delves into Pakistan the American government contemplated giving aid to the Middle Eastern nation, but discovered that the Pakistan government would likely use this funding to expand their nuclear program. The US is now between a rock and a hard place, because if they give aid they keep out Al Queda potentially, but also give Pakistan more nuclear arms. However if they don’t give aid, it looks inevitable that Al Queda will continue its quest to overtake the Pakistan government.
