Public Health doctors deliberately infected about 700 guatemalans with venereal diseases. American taxes helped to pay syphilis infected prostitutes to infect prisoners also bacteria was inserted into scrapes on their body. Once the test subjects had the disease, they were issued antibiotics. Sadly, not everyone who was infected was cured. This whole medical case was just discovered. Professor Reverby was going to release the whole story in an issue of Journal of Policy History to Dr. David J. Sencer.
