An angry crowd stormed a private TV station, Scope TV, and ransacked its offices over what the crowd deemed an insult to the ruling family. The owner of the station, Fajr al-Saeed, said she received threats to her life after the talk show "Zain wa Shain" ("Good and Bad") was aired. Kuwait generally allows criticism of public officials by the press but the ruler is protected for criticism by the constitution.
