From Brianna Howell
According to CNN, a couple from New Zealand recently applied for a loan for $10,000 (New Zeland Dollars) and were instead given $10 Million ($6Million American Dollars). The bank had accidentally credited their account this amount. Since then, the couple has went missing and expected to have left the country. Their current whereabouts are unknown but it is speculated that they might be in China now. New Zealand's authorities have requested the help of the Interpol in finding this couple. I find this case interesting because Interpol typically refrains from interference in cases that are do not involve many states and are not particularly hazardous. This case is only really negatively affecting New Zealand, and it is not as if the couple robbed the bank. It was a bank error. I find it very interesting to watch international organizations opperate and it is curious to see how Interpol acts in various situations.
