According to CNN Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh is gearing up to reclaim a second term with the approval of his congressional party. He was seen as the architect of India's economic reforms in the 1990s and will be the second Indian prime minister since Jawaharlal Nehru to hold the position twice after a full five-year term. His Congress party alone won 205 of 543 districts of the federal parliament which is the best performance since 1991and its allies together led in 262 districts which was better than their Hindu rivals.
