Over 300 Confirmed Cases of Swine Flu Worldwide

The number of confirmed cases of the H1N1 virus, or commonly known as the Swine flu, stands at 331 people, the World Health Organization said Friday. On Thursday, The World Health Organization, or WHO, confirmed 257 cases worldwide showing the significant increase. The Swine flu has now spread into 11 countries but has hit the hardest in the western hemisphere.

The largest outbreak of the swine flu is in Mexico, according to the World Health Organization, that have 156 confirmed cases of the virus. Officials in Mexico suspect more than 150 deaths caused by H1N1 virus. The World Health Organization also stated that there is no sustained human to human transmission outside the Americas. In the United States, the Centers for Disease Control, the CDC, and Prevention said it had confirmed 109 cases of the flu with one death.
