Possible Imporvements with Middle East

Madeline Moton

Recently Obama met with the leaders of Afghanistan and Pakistan to discuss methods on how to stop the destruction of the Al Qaeda. The way Obama is going about this is by winning the hearts and minds of the countries leaders and more importantly these countries citizens. This method is very different from former President Bush's use of hard power and military force to stop the Al Qeada. This new method holds potnetial and seems to be going well because the leaders are willing to meet with President Obama and discuss new tactics.
The only skepitcal thoughts that people may be deveopling are whether or not Pakistan will agree to new strategies, knowing that the government has done nothing to stop the Al Qeada from invading its country, and soon government. It is possible that the Pakitsan government is working along side the Al Qeada, with their own treaties and agreements, or it could be that the government is really searching for a drastic change and defeat of the Al Qaeda. Accordingly however, Obama says that the Pakistani government is ver fragile and needs help in not becoming a state controlled by terrorist orginations.
A positive that came out of the meeting was a signed aggreement on a treaty between the two middle eastern countries aimed at increasing commerce and trade between the two states without conflict.
