Pakistanis flee as fighting continues

Nial Maloney

Many Pakistani people have begun to flee South to avoid fighting between the military and Taliban militants. To me, this is a good thing because the innocent people are trying to get out before they get killed in the cross-fires. As these innocent people leave, military forces are heading in the opposite direction hauling guns towards the conflict zone.

The U.N. are now saying that about 4 million people have lost their homes. Many of these camps used to hold Afghani refugees but these refugees have left leaving room for the Pakistani refugees. Many of the refugees in the camp have complained about corruption. A new slew of refugees added to the camps will only cause more problems, which I agree with. By adding new people to the already troublesome area, more troubles will surely ensue.

Many of these Pakistanis won't even stay in the camps. They have resorted to paying rent in other cities or have settled with host families. Many of these Pakistanis have turned to prayer to try and help them through the troublesome times.
