An internal evaluation from the World Bank released that 7 out of 10 projects that the World Bank financed globally did not meet their goal within in the last decade. The worse part is that in Africa, 8 out of the World Bank's projects failed in the last decade. Researchers claimed that the projects were to hard to complete. Also, many of the NGO's, donors, and aid groups have a difficult time turning in results on time, if at all. The World Bank's director of health, nutrition, and population was quoted, "It’s true, and we agree, that too often in the projects, we had overambitious objectives, given the capacity of the country and sometimes our own."An economics professor of New York University, also stated that he think that government organizations have put too much money into AIDS relief programs. In turn, all this money has prevented help. Although AIDS programs take up 60% of the World Bank's finances, malaria and tuberculosis have taken over the World Bank in terms of priority. Within the last decade, all of those programs have met satisfactory statistics.
