Ahmadinejad to Lebanon

Iran's President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad announced that he will be visiting Lebanon after Ramadan, when almost thirty years prior Lebanon was described after being attacked by Iran as so, "It was like shooting sparrows with a cannon." While Israel and the U.S. are trying to pressure the Lebanese government to prevent his October 13th visit, President Ahmadinejad remains undeterred in his efforts to make the trip. On this trip, Ahmadinejad intends to empower the poor of his nation, draw "attention to the plight of Palestinians and correcting the past (and current) injustices", and inquire about "the origin of Israel's existence (not it's right to exist) and its Zionist Regime". While his trip has the potential to stabilize and secure the future of the region it is likely to make the people of Lebanon uneasy about their relations with the U.S. and Israel. Israel's foreign minister is very uncomfortable with Ahmadinejad's trip.
