Blasphemy law rally in Pakistan
Pakistan's largest city, Karachi, had 50,000 protesters rally against the change in national blasphemy laws. This rally is the largest demonstration in support of the blasphemy laws in the countries history. The law states that insulting Islam is a capital offense and can be punishable by law, varying in degree. The laws are designed to persecute religious minorities. If the United States had blasphemy laws, there would be a lot of entertainers in a lot of trouble. It just shows the difference in the fundamental beliefs of America and Muslim nations like Pakistan.
