Japan to Propose Closer Military Ties With South Korea

After recent attack by North Korea on South Korea, Japanese defense minister is to propose strengthened military ties with South Korea because of threatening by North Korea, although South Korea still remains bitterness over Japan's colonial past. It is said that the nations were working on more broad declaration on military cooperation according to one Japanese news company, though a South Korean Defense Ministry official denied that. Japan also has a problem under their pacifist constitution. They are strictly restricted to use their military toward outside of the country. However, US is pushing strong tie between Japan and South Korea in order to confront North Korea.
