General: U.S. should be out of Iraq by late 2011

Matt Boguslawski

According to the US top commander in Iraq, Gen. Ray Odierno, that by the end of 2011 US troops will be out of Iraq. He made this almost certain by saying on a scale of 10 of how much he beilieves that, he gave it a 10. The situation in Iraq, still be very dangerous, has became much less severe than in past years. In March, nine soldiers were killed making this the lowest death toll of soldiers since the begining of the war in 2003. According to the General the only problem now is maintaining the stability that is now in place, and when the final pull out will occur. This significant improvement in stability and security can be attributed very much by the efforts of the Iraq government.
