Barry Hughes is a British oil worker that has been being held captive by Nigerian militants since September of last year when a group of oil workers were abducted when gunmen took over their vessel. It was reported that the Nigerian militants have decided to release Barry Hughes. The Movement for the Emancipation of the Niger Delta (MEND) is releasing him from captivity due to health and age considerations. His brother said that Barry's spirits are very high but he is still not feeling very well and for the time he was held captive he was having a very difficult time.
