President Barack Obama asked nations Sunday, in Prague, to disband some of there nuclear weapons, saying that the United States is committed to reducing nuclear arsenals within the next four years. President Obama suggested this because he felt that nuclear arms were the lasting legacies of the Cold War and do not help negotiate peace around the world. Also, Obama agreed to a New Strategic Arms Reduction Treaty with Russia to come at end of year.

President Obama did the right thing in doing this because this comes one day after North Korea launched a long range nuclear missle that could threaten the surrounding nations of North Korea. Those who violate these new rules should face immediate consequences, including automatic intervention by the United Nations Security Council.
