Bolivian Journalist set on fire

http://www.cnn.com/2012/11/01/world/americas/bolivia-journalist-attacked/index.html?hpt=wo_c2

A Bolivian Radio personality is set on fire in an attack and is left in critical condition. Family and friends march in the streets of Yacuiba which is located in southern Bolivia to advocate for justice and punishment for those responsible for the brutal attack. The attack was meant for a small FM station in the town and witnesses say that four men forces their way into the studio on Monday morning. This was happening live and listeners got a front row seat to the scuffle on the radio. They heard gun shots and then the dumping of gasoline all over the equipment in the studio and eventually the radio personality. He remains in critical condition at a local hospital. He is 70 years old and is a former mayor and councilmen. The following day three men were apprehended trying to cross the border into Argentina which is just located miles from the town of Yacuiba. Eventually the fourth suspect was apprehended in the following days. The radio personalty was not afraid of voices his opinions so naturally he had many listener enemies. He was said to have close ties to the former President Evo Morales but broke those ties due to what he said to be his shift to an authoritarian government. Their are many ideas to who this might be and the police and people know that it is much bigger than some random crime act. Some say it is tied to a drug ring of smugglers because that is who he was interviewing at the time of the attack but people closer to him believe it to be a political authority wanting to shut him up and using the smugglers as a smoke screen to cover up the trail. In my opinion I do not believe this is random. They are not just murders killing. They didn't steal anything this is not some petty crime case. It is something much deeper and much more sinister at work. Time will only tell who is behind all of this but for now the police in Bolivia and the U.N should not rule even the highest authorities out.
