Hackers from Iran have been reported spying on high ranking U.S. and Israeli officials through the use of social media (more specifically Facebook). These hackers have been said to be working to get close to there targets for the last three years, connecting with over two-thousand individuals. They were found to have made fake accounts and proceeded to make connections with there target's family and friends. After awhile the hackers would connect to there targets, and post credible information, before luring them to a website that would steal their targets passwords and other passwords and other credentials, or get them to download malicious software. The targets of these acts included senior American military and diplomatic officials, congressional staffers and defense contractors in the U.S. and Israel, as well as a four star Admirals in the U.S, Britain and Saudi officials, journalist, and lawmakers. The situation has been exposed and handled, with the ending remarks being to not establish connections with unknown organizations or individuals.
