This article shows how in Ireland on May twenty second gay marriage
was legalized with almost a two to one ratio of people approving it. While Ireland
was previously discriminating against homosexual acts until about a quarter of
a century ago, they are not the first country to official legalize gay marriage.
According to the article there are many cases where gay marriage is publically
celebrated during parades and things like that. This will be very interesting
to see what kind of pressure is put on other European countries, and even what
kind of effects this has in the United States.
