"Four Dead From Flooding Around Paris"

After weeks of heavy rain, the Seine continues to flood with water levels now reaching about 20 feet. While Paris is protected by embankments along the river that can withstand water levels of up to 28 feet, the city has been preparing for the worst. The Louvre Museum has begun moving artwork from the basement level to higher floors in case the river water combines with groundwater and floods the basement. Unfortunately, four people have died from the resulting floods. One was an elderly man who fell from his horse and was swept away by the current. French officials expect that it will take weeks for the Seine to return to normal, but more rain has been forecast for the next few days. The flooding has also hurt the tourist industry in France which has already been struggling in the wake of the Paris attacks and worker strikes.
