Iraqi Forces: Small Number of Airstrikes Slow Fallujah Push

Iraqi forces are currently fighting to retake Fallujah from ISIS to capitalize on the recent retreat of the terrorist group. However, fighting is stalled in the outskirts of Fallujah due to thousands of civilians being in the city among ISIS militants. The Iraqi forces quickly took the outskirts of Fallujah with the help of US-led airstrikes, but now have little to no air forces at their disposal. The bombing coalition is unable to conduct airstrikes in Fallujah due to the large amount of civilians, except for a few strikes on a weapons cache and a tunnel system. Since Wednesday, only four airstrikes have been conducted. The Iraqi forces are heavily dependent on airstrikes, and without them they could be fighting for Fallujah much longer than they wanted to.
