Amnesty: Almost 2,400 executed in 2008

Aundrea Entrekin

I found an article on CNN that discussed the death penalty around the world. With emphasis on China, Iran, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, and the U.S.. The article argues that of the nearly 2,400 people that were executed this year 1,718 of them was from China. And only 37 of them were from the US. This is the lowest since 1995. I think that this is important because the death penalty is one of the biggest and most controversial topic that is out there today. Every one feels one way or the other.
