Hezbollah 'plotted to attack Egypt'

By Katherine Brady

This article is about Egypt accusing Hezbollah of plotting to attack their country. Recently, relations between Egypt and Hezbollah has gotten much worse due to the war on Gaza. According to the Egyptian government, there was supposedly terrorist groups of Hezbollah planning to bomb tourists at resorts in the Sinai Peninsula. Many men were arrested on suspicion of planning the attacks which were aimed at destabilising the country and providing aid to Hamas. However, Hassan Nasrallah, the secretary-general of Hezbollah, denied that Hezbollah was planning attacks against targets in Egypt. Due to the tense relations between Hezbollah and Egypt, I doubt that what Hassan Nasrallah said was true.
