The hostage captain has been freed. While having multiple AK-47 assault rifle being pointed at him from a close range, US Navy snipers went into action by killing 3 pirates in freeing the captain, named Richard Phillips. According to Navy Vice Admiral Bill Gortney in his report to news reporters, The captain, who'd been held in a lifeboat somewhere in the Indian Ocean since Wednesday, was rescued without any injuries. Gortney also reported that Captain Phillips is in good health and is in safe hands of the US Navy. A fourth pirate that was involved in the kidnapping has been taken into custody and federal prosecutors will review the evidence to determine whether the pirate will be prosecuted in the United States.
