Egyptian Finance Minister Issues Immediate Measures

Due to the continued state of unrest and protest in Egypt, their new finance minister acted immediately for economic measures to help the country get back to normalcy, by allowing compensation for people who have been out of work because of the protests. Unemployment will increase because of the destruction, so the finance minister responded with compensation for those unemployed. "This is the quick solution which the Finance Minister saw as its duty to offer to the Egyptian people." In addition to the salary compensation, food shipments have been released from customs and will be without paying custom duties for now. Food subsidies will also remain intact for the sake of the people.
