Commitment to Afghan Security

The United States' Secretary of State, Hillary Clinton, made the profound statement that the United States will remain committed to the security of Afghanistan even after the troops are no longer stationed there. The focus was on the commitment to the civilians; Afghan leader Hamid Karzai hopes that the US will make better efforts in reducing the number of civilian causalities, in response Clinton replied that our "civilian commitment will remain long into the future." Another statement about this article that caught my eye was the statement showing that Afghanistan is considered to be a mature nation; this shows some improvement with the situation in the area, although there is still much to work on and improve.
