Crisis Talks in Egypt

The pressure on Egypt for political reform and the removal of President Mubarak continues. On Sunday talks with Egypt’s Vice-President occurred that might instigate political reform in Egypt. The Government urged people to resume working on Sunday, which is when banks opened after being closed for a week.

Nobel Peace laureate, Mohamed ElBaradei, claims the source of the problem derives from the fact that all those that have control, the leaders of Egypt, are all “military men.” He claims because everything is being controlled by the military, the people of Egypt are unaware of what is going on.

Demonstrators stated they would continue to fight to remove the President until September elections arrive. Commander Hassan al-Roweny believes all the Islamists and opposition groups fighting for political reform should return to their normal lives working at their jobs and getting paid.
