Wiki Leaks for Nobel Peace Prize?

Norwegian politician Snorre Valen has nominated Wiki Leaks for the Nobel Peace prize, as of last Tuesday. Prize rules say any lawmaker, academic or award recipient can make nominations for the prize. According to Valen Wiki Leaks is a beacon of human rights, independence and democracy worldwide that has "helped redraw the map of information freedom." It comes as no surprise that his nomination is already under fire by various government officials and leaders, among them the U.S. Secretary of Defense Robert Gates. The Wiki Leaks site is as controversial as ever; some, like Snorre Valen, view it as a heroic effort to expose corruption, while many others agree that it is a potentially dangerous breach of security and privacy on a large scale.
