A fire broke out at a government-run migration center in northern Mexico near the US border. This fire killed at least 39 people and injured 29 people. There were 68 men housed there from central and South America. The process to identify the people who died has started but is tricky as the government has to contact consular authorities from several different countries. A formal complaint has been lodged against the facility which will start an investigation. Several news outlets have reported that there had been tension recently between the workers from the migration center and the migrants.
