Italy moves to ban lab-grown meat to protect food heritage

In our ever-changing world climate, scientists have been fighting hard in order to provide an alternative food source for our future but Itailin right-wing parties seem to have different plans as the Italian government has just backed a bill that will laboratory-produce meat and other synthetic foods. The reasoning behind backing this bill seems to be related to the importance of the "Italian food tradition." This bill if passed would attract fines of up to €60,000 if the ban wanted to be broken making it much more difficult for the science community to encourage resourceful foods such as crickets and locusts in pizza or pasta, which have been shown as much more environmentally friendly sources of food.
