A Couple From Florida Kidnapped In Haiti While Traveling To Port-Au-Prince

On March 18, a couple from Florida was kidnapped in Haiti while on vacation. The couple was on tour bus while traveling through Port-Au-Prince when a gang stop the tour bus and took the couple away. The gang contacted the family a day later asking for $6,000 for the couple to be released. When the couple did give the money to them though, they decided they would ask for more. The gang asked for $200,000 for each person then they would let them go. The family worried and stressed because they don’t have that type of money. Even with the family contacting the authorizes and the U.S. authorizes  contacting Haiti’s police. They still haven’t heard anything back. The family of the couple mentions that they told them not to go especially with how dangerous Haiti is right now even though not all of Haiti is bad as some places. All the family wants is for them to return home safe and sound. Hopefully the U.S. and Haiti can work together to bring this couple home.

I wish Haiti get better sometime soon. Imagine not being able to go home to your country without getting kidnapped by gangs running the whole country because there’s no government to control its people and everyone is against each other. Only hope and luck can save them on day.
