Russia has mobilized its nuclear weapons to Belarus. Belarus is a long time supporter of the Kremlin regime and the war effort in Ukraine. Russia has still control of the arms but nuclear weapons have not been moved outside of the Russian federation since the collapse of the Soviet Union. Putin claims this is no different than the US stationing nuclear weapons in NATO allied countries. The United States claims there is no imminent threat of nuclear war and that they hope to deescalate the situation.
