Earthquake In Indonesia

An earthquake that reached 7.4 on the scale struck in Sumatra, an Indonesian island.  Soon after the earthquake, concerns sparked for a tsunami warning by Pacific Tsunami Warning Center, but was later called off.  The region where the earthquake just hit is in close proximity to the devastating earthquake and tsunami that took place in 2004 where more than 200,000 people were killed.  It's also reported that the recent earthquake resulted in damaged homes in the region.  However, the tsunami watch was later lifted by the Warning Center because of no immediate, large-scale threat or devastation.  Indonesian islands are unfortunately prone to earthquakes because of their location on the Pacific Ring of Fire.
