Murder Mix-up in China

A Chinese man, Zhao Zuohai was just released from jail after being there for ten years on a murder charge. Reason behind his release? His supposed murder victim showed up alive. Zhao and his neighbor had gotten into a fight, and shortly afterwards, his neighbor disappeared. After a headless decomposing body was found 18 months later, Zhao was charged with the murder of his neighbor. Investigation is going into the case because Zhao's conviction was based on his confession, in which police forced him to drink chile-water and exploded fireworks above his head. Punishment for those officers and the judges in the case is expected to be delivered. Zhao was to spend 29 years in prison, but his neighbor returned to town seeking welfare, therefore proving his innocence. The neighbor claims to have fled in fear because he thought he had killed Zhao during their original fight. Zhao has been released, but his wife remarried during his sentence time, and several of his children were adopted.
