Taiwan all by itself

The President of the Taiwan, Ma Ying Jeou said that Taiwan will never ask help from the US to resist against the Greedy mainland China and Taiwan would rather do it on their own. Ma said that Taiwan will keep reducing the menaces, resulting in having to procure arms form the United States. But at the same time, they have no intention to be dependent on the Americans to protect Taiwan. He also said that it would lessen buoyancy in this part of the world in case the US trims down arms sales to Taiwan below the current level. All they have to do for the time being is to maintain and improve the strength to defend the country and secure its democracy. That’s why Taiwan is greatly in need of the arms, not just for being against China. The arms sale is the main factor in maintaining the country’s peace and stability. And he mentioned that the current situation between China and Taiwan is also going good as he did a lot of agreements with China in terms of flights, food safety, tourism and mutual assistance. But they don’t mean that Taiwan’s independence is compromised and all these covenants are meant for the country’s prosperity and stability. However, the greedy mainland China still considers Taiwan as part of its territory and says those arms sales are threatening China’s national security.
