14 Killed in Baghdad Due to Car Bombs

Monday evening in Baghdad, Iraq, three car bombs killed possibly 17 people. Authorities say that at least one car bomb was to targeting Shiite pilgrims, it was a roadside bomb that killed two. If this holds true it only deepens the sectarian violence already present there. The second car bomb was near a Shiite neighborhood, al-Shaab, and killed three policemen and four other people in the area. The third bomb was found in a Sunni area and exploded while sappers were trying to defuse it and resulted in the death of a soldier. The latest wave of sectarian violence has targeted Shiites which has resulted in the deaths of over 90 people in the last week. The two sects, Sunnis and Shiites, have been in a stand off between the two leaders for the last month.
