Thousands of Citizens Fleeing for their Lives in South Sudan

Recent violence in South Sudan has forced civilians to flee their villages and abandon their homes. Thousands of families have hidden in the bush and now have no access to medical supplies and other necessities. Two MSF medical facilities were targeted, forcing their volunteer to shut down the facilities and leaving thousands of people without medical care. During the violence, these MSF medical facilities were targeted and looted and damaged. Their main concern is for the civilians that have fled into the bush, saying that countless numbers of them must have injuries from all of the violence. The MSF organization condemns the targeting of their medical facilities because they are neutral and impartial to who they care for. Many people, regardless of where they are from, have been treated by MSF in South Sudan. MSF began working in Sudan in 1978, and it 2010 alone they treated well of half a million civilians.
