Group Resists Korean Stigma for Unwed Mothers

According to the article"Group Resists Korean Stigma for Unwed Mothers" from The New York Times, there is an attempt to making first association for single mothers in South Korea, which society is totally unfriendly to single mothers. In South Korea, unmarried women with child are not acceptable, and they are regarded as immoral. It is common that they get discrimination because of that. Government are encouraging citizen to do adoption to other countries like U.S. and so on. Unmarried women are forced to choose whether abortion or adoption. 96% of them choose abortion, and 70% of those who give birth, end up in adoption. Even though government attempt to change this situation, society seems to be impossible to accept single mothers.
