Although the waters of lake Laguna de Bay are the lifeline of many famers and fishermen and serves as a reservior to save Manila from being submerged, it is now becoming the biggest threat. Last week Typhoon Parma rained down as much as 36 inches increasing the flooding already caused by the earlier storm Ketsana. In what seems to becoming increasingly common residents are blaming for doing to little to late to help the 338,000 people affected by the storm. The waters that are now stagnent and infected have been standing for 10 days in some areas and fear of disease is rapidly increasing.
