Storm Surge

After tropical storm Ketsana the Philippines are struggling to recover. Thanks to U.S. troops the task of recovering is not as difficult. Troops have been in the Philippines helping to train the Filipino military. The U.S. military has also brought millions of dollars in medical supplies to aid the Filipino people.

While the military has been in the Philippines they have been accused of various wrong doings by the Filipino government. The U.S. has been said to come up short of modernizing the Filipino military. Also it has been accused of teaming with these men that they are training to combat the Islamist militant group which is located in the southern Philippines. Theses actions are being seen as the U.S. overstepping their boundaries and doing more then they were supposed to.

The United States has a good opportunity to help a country in need. It is not neccessary to try to do more then that and anger that particular country.
