Bombings in Somalia

On Saturday, there were twin explosions at a mosque in Somalia's capital, Mogadishu. At least 45 people were killed and many more were wounded. The attack was carried out by a militant group trying to fight against the government in order to make them create a stricter form of Islamic law. Fighting ensued for hours after the incident with the pro-government militia group trying to subdue the militants. The mosque is still standing but is seriously damaged. It is still unclear, if this was a suicide bombing or not. Two high-ranking members of Al-Shabaab, an organization on the list of U.S. terrorist organizations died in the bombing, and another was seriously wounded.
